WHITE DILEMMA

1/31/03 - This past week I've done two paintings that are helping me to work out how and when I should use the color white - a color art teachers have traditionally shunned. Click above.

COLOR vs. DETAIL

2/14/03 - These pictures don't do the actual drawings any justice but I hope they can show the problems that arise when one is working with a wet medium. The more you work a wet piece (oils or oil pastels) the more detail you get but at the same time the piece gets muddier and also loses the intensity of the color as well.
